Message from the Conference Chairman
Dear APEx Members,
The Association of Power Exchanges is pleased to invite you to attend the 2009 APEx conference, which will be held from October 11 to October 13 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
The Annual APEx Conference is an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the role that power exchanges play and the challenges they face in operating electricity markets around the world. The Boston conference this year will be the 14th such event, with a comprehensive agenda that promises to be both informative and engaging.
The program will explore the latest developments in power exchanges and energy policies; in particular, how energy markets are grappling with the issues of climate change, renewable energy, the financial crisis, generation investment, demand response, and the prospect of moving back to more regulated environments. As always, my fellow APEx directors and I trust that a shared discussion of these and other issues will benefit both experienced and developing markets alike.
We express our appreciation to ISO New England for hosting the event and we look forward to seeing you in Boston in October.
